This grade II listed house in Northamptonshire was successfully refurbished to the highest level of specification, providing all the finishes and amenities expected for modern living within the character of an existing historic stone building
The new extension was designed as a contemporary steel structure, with full-height, glazed screens providing views from the swimming pool, out over the newly landscaped grounds of the site. The extension included a number of subtle complementary features, such as, traditional exposed stone walls internally, to seamlessly link the existing house to the modern new pool building
Externally the project included terrace paving, an access driveway, entrance gates, lighting, planting, and outbuildings
Hadland Manning Bullock provided full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services throughout the project. Detailed monitoring and reporting of the project costs during the construction stage was vital, to meet the shifting challenges of working on such a large and complete refurbishment of a historic listed building
