Working closely with Cherwell District Council, we were originally contracted to provide Quantity Surveying services for the construction of forty-two new build flats in four blocks to watertight shell only, along with associated external works
The Council had anticipated that the flats would be completed by “self-build” prospective buyers. However, later this was no longer feasible, and we were instructed to add the fit-out of all of the flats into the works. This required negotiation with the Main Contractor to ensure costs for the fit-out works remained competitive
HMB provided full PQS duties on this £5.5m project. This included the production of Tender Documentation, Contract Sum Analysis Pricing Document, Main Contract Preliminaries Information and JCT Contract, Monthly Valuations, and agreement of the Final Account
